A British-American solo piano-vocalist with over 20 years' experience, Alexandra plays the Wednesday Happy Hour at DON'T TELL MAMAS PIANO BAR in Manhattan's Theatre District. She has also performed in Europe, the UK, Japan, Mexico and the Caribbean.
Versatile and engaging, Alexandra's music runs the gamut from BROADWAY to BOSSA NOVA, from POP CLASSICS to FRENCH CABARET. Lovers of Jazz and the Great American Songbook will be in their element! She also sings in French, Italian, German, Spanish and Portuguese.
Raised near London, England, she studied piano, voice and double bass. At 19 Alexandra appeared on television as a member of the award-winning Jazz Quartet StringSwing. The group was featured on EAST ANGLIA'S REGIONAL TELEVISION PROGRAMME, "About Anglia" and subsequently live on CAMBRIDGE RADIO.
Since relocating to New York in the 1990s Alexandra has played both public and private events: CONCERTS, FESTIVALS, CLUBS, HOTELS, PIANO BARS and CRUISE SHIPS. She has performed with Sarah Rice (Sweeney Todd); Carole Demas (Grease); Barry Bostwick (Rocky Horror Picture Show); Kate Cosco (Little Anthony and the Imperials); Debbie Kennedy (Woody Allen & the Eddy Davis Band); and the following Jazz musicians: (featured vocalist with) Tom Hubbard, Satoshi Inoue, Mark York, Mark Taylor, Amy London, Les Kurtz, Saadi Zain, Dmitri Kolesnik, Earl May, Ed McEachen, Bill McCrossen, Tsuyoshi Furutsu and Jeff Irwin; (backup vocalist with) Dee Dee Bridgewater, Frank Foster, Max Roach and Odean Pope.
